LAKES AND DALES
We meet at the hotel the evening before to discuss the tour and get to know our fellow riders for the week.
We head towards Windermere and make our way north riding some great roads, not too twisty to begin with where we will pass Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake, we then loop round to the top of the National Park to make our way down some passes and back to the hotel.
Head out for the Yorkshire Dales National Park riding on the quiet roads through the moors, valleys, hills and villages stopping for drinks and treats along the way.
We start our day today with some more of the Lake District, staying on high ground over some of its passes and round deep lakes, and finding some places out of the tourist trap for food, drinks and photo stops.
We leave the Lakes behind for the day and head for the Dales for some easier riding and taking in what the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. Making stops at viaducts, rivers and falls and also some biker friendly cafes and if we’re lucky meet some of the native riders !
For our final day we ride the lake one more time taking on the one pass every rider wants to do and that’s Hardknott Pass as well as some others we then head West to the Coast for lunch on the shores before heading back to the hotel for our last night before we depart the next morning.
Approx 600 miles
